My Left Knee

I think my left knee is eating my pants.
No, really, the last several pairs of jeans I've had have all worn out over my left knee before the more obvious places of, say, like, my right pocket where my keys stay. That used to always be where my jeans would wear out first. But, now, it's the left knee.

Why would it be the left knee? Is my left knee sharper than my right knee? It doesn't look like it is. Does the cat have something to do with all of this?
It wouldn't surprise me.
Maybe he's mad because I didn't take him to the opera, and he's taking it out on my pants?

Whatever it is, it's a mystery to me.
All I know is that it's time for a new pair of pants.

  1. But ripped jeans are so au courant!
It must be in the way you walk or sit or something. Pay attention to where your left knee hits things all day long. Over time, that would add up.

    1. Liz: I don't think anything's changed about the way I walk or sit in the last year or two,and this is definitely a new thing.

  2. Obviously it's the cat. That's a guilty face if I ever saw one.

    1. Jeanne: Oh, he's guilty, all right, of a lot of things, every day; I'm just not sure he's guilty of this.

  3. Weird, yes. Speaking of time for new pants, my very last pair of non-stretch jeans—whoever came up with the idea of putting spandex into jeans needs to be drawn and quartered—have developed a... well, a 'ventilation system'. Which means I either need to make friends with needle and thread (we've been on non-speaking terms for years), or resign myself to spandex. *Sigh*

Man, and I have nothing to follow that up with.
